History:
Komaliks are a Hindu caste found mainly in the Indian state of Karnataka. They are believed to be descended from the ancient Kshatriya warriors of the region.
Komaliks are believed to have been a warrior class in the past and were involved in the fight against foreign invaders. They were also involved in the administration of the kingdom. During the British Raj, they were given the status of a Backward Class by the British.
