History:

The Saraswat Brahmin community is believed to have originated from the banks of the Saraswati River in the Sindhu Valley in northern India.
The Saraswat Brahmins are believed to have been among the earliest settlers in India. They were the original inhabitants of the Saraswati Valley and were known as the Saraswat Kshatriyas. They were believed to have ruled the region before the arrival of the Aryans.
