The ChinnaKamba people are a Nilotic people who inhabit the ChinnaKamba District in the Northern Region of Uganda. They are also known as the ChinnaKamba, ChinnaKamba-Karamojong, Karamojong-ChinnaKamba, and ChinnaKamba-Luyia. The ChinnaKamba are a pastoral people who live in the Rift Valley. They are the largest ethnic group in the ChinnaKamba District, and they constitute about 60% of the population. The ChinnaKamba are a matrilineal people, and they practice traditional customs such as polygamy, child marriage, and female genital mutilation. The ChinnaKamba speak the ChinnaKamba language, a Bantu language.
